Belgium 2017 / 2018
The Sept 2016 trip was a great success, all the usual ingredients from previous trips plus an amazing hotel right in the middle of Diksmuide. Details/feedback here for anyone interested. Belgium 2016
I wont be organising a 2017 trip as I'm doing the Pyrennees week instead, but if anyone else wants to step up I am sure people will be interested. I can help with contacts and planning. The hotel were very flexible and easy to deal with, and Eurotunnel is very straightforward, plus the routes are well documented and easy to tinker with, so there really isnt much to do. Also from a war history point of view an autumn trip would be 100 years since the battle of Passchendaele.
Also looking ahead a 2018 autumn trip would coincide with 100 years since the final battle of Ypres, and the end of the war. I'd be well up for that.
