  • Yo ho

First post pneumonia ride this afternoon since mid December.

Clearly somebody swapped my lungs with those of a wheezy ninety year old while I was asleep in the Lister.....

Ashwell Guilden Wrestlingworth Potton Sutton Eyeworth Northfields Ashwell. 17 miles @ a very steady 14.5mph. Shattered!

Count me in Cap'n - teamwork to get us back to fitness together. Come along Pete & Rupert and let's get a good group again.

    Maximum capability mph
Number of stitches on his ... nevermind
    Power of spectacles, no help
% of 4 pints drunk during recent disgraceful episode (related perhaps to ineffective spectacles!)

    Do I have a second?
  • Yo Ho

Bit harsh Andy, kicking a man when he's down?

How about Pete 2 for your second....after all that's his favourite position!

    FD
  • errr favourite position? i think you will find its more the flexible nature the capt applies to on if, when and where the sprint actually happens.

The finish line usually being just in front of his wheel, just after he has passed me

Not that i am bitter but there was also the time of my glorious win duly dismissed as winter rules applied......i believe it was sometime in july

  • No one remembers
    Only glory to the winner
    Sea dog rules apply
    Still winter
And as Andy S points out capt has many excuses presently.
    Wind whistles around the stearn
    Stitches still open.
Good to see the knives coming with march on the way.

  • Yo Ho

Exactly, ordinarily no-one remembers who came second, but you were so adept at it Pete2 that even your name changed!

Never trust a pirate. It could be a long summer of near misses and shifting, ephemeral finish lines....
