  • Hi Martin,

I will not be able to make it Sunday,i have got the flu,
hopefully be back on the bike by next Saturday.
  • Get well soon Malcolm - don't rush back. Think about Majorca!
Bit run down myself - and can everyone just stop coughing on the train! But hoping to sweat it out going up Brickhill...
  • Good luck and enjoy the climbing.

Snow pretty bad this morning at Milton Keynes. And sure enough they'd cancelled the event. A shame - they'd put on a right good spread. Nice little clubhouse. Quite envious. But the right decision - maybe ok going uphill - downhill not so good. Had a chat with other riders, a cup of tea and sausage roll and just got back in time for the 9.30 run. Didn't see James' note about later start. Me, Phil, Tim D, Tim G and Alec went up to Therfield - bad going in snow. So back down again for a Gamlingay loop. Alec's rear jockey exploded on the A505. Phil punctured in Hatley. Ah well. Roll on March.

We went past Ashley Cox when near Ashwell. He was all decked out in his Corley Cycles team gear. One to watch this season.

North Bucks were advertising this sportive. Sounds quite an event. Note: same day as Cheshire Cat. Sun 28th March.

  • Got up 8AM, had breakfast. SNOW!! back to bed till 9:45 then (makes a change). Get up again, take brain out, out to garage -2 hrs on the turbo. Back in for a nice cup of tea. I've had races called off due to snow in March, but let's hope the weather picks up soon - although this week looks grotty.
