Twelve out yesterday for the above spin to Stewartby. Strong pace on the way out into the headwind thanks to some sterling work by DaveA, Taff, Nathan and Nathanial. After the Amphill up and over it was full gas for the now obligatory intermediate sprint along the Milbrook road. True to form, there was indeed an ice cream van in Stewartby, although his chime choice of 'I do like to be beside the seaside' was a bit bizarre in rural landlocked Bedfordshire.

So refreshed (although not with ice cream) we picked up both the tailwind & the pace and headed back via old warden, Broom and Langford. After a record breaking wind assisted climb of Langford hill we wound it up through Hinxworth where our resident TT specialist went for sprint glory but was denied by a flying Nathanial !

So 51 miles at 17 and a bit. Oh and some excellent free flapjacks thanks to the new Tuns landlady :)

Good stuff, thanks all, enjoyed that. More breeze assisted fun next week.
