RTTC Classic series race 2 Buxton Good Friday
Jackie and Noah were the only 2 riders from CCA to take part in this event this year. It was Noah's first national TT event and Jackie was back for a 3rd time to defend the series title that she holds.
As we drove over the dales to get to the village the outlook for the weather was not promising to be good. Low cloud, poor visibility and a constant drizzle made for poor riding conditions. Noah and Jackie both had later starts and fortunately the rain stopped for the duration of their races but it remained windy.
It is a 2 lap course (3 for the seniors) around Longnor near Buxton in Derbyshire. Very Hilly with over 2000ft climbing and some very fast descents that don't run out but finish with tight curves or S bends.
Noah enjoyed the race and was 9th out of the 15 juniors entered.
Jackie was the vet lady winner (9th overall) and 5th vet on target where she picked up prizes for both.
Hayley Simmonds was the ladies winner with an impressive 1.01.09
