Sat 22nd April - Intermediate Ride

Plannning on an intermediate ride on Sat.
~ 35 miles @ 14 - 15 mph

Route is Bassingbourn (to collect my wife!), Barrington (for bit of climbing), Newton, Thriplow (missed the dafs), Fowlmere, Bassingbourn, Wendy (check out chain gang route), Steeple and back to Ashwell (for tea with the main club run).

    There was quite a group at the Tuns this morning. Once David's ride left 5 of us set off on the intermediate ride.
    There were the familiar faces of farmer Tom and Diesel Dave N who was recovering from some climbing in Wales (check out Strava!). We also welcomed Matt and Jodie who were strong riders.
    After picking up Bob and Karen in Bassingbourn we had a nice tidy group of 7.
    The weather really picked up and it turned out to be a great morning for a ride.
    With the group we had this turned into a steady club run. We arrived back at the Tuns a little too soon so moved on down to Rhubarb and Mustard for well earned coffee and cakes.
    35 miles as planned @ a steady 16.5.
