Met police Road Race
The Arlesey Flyer was out and about in Chigwell on Sunday in the Met police road race, and what a lovely event. Four laps round a lumpy course in nice summer weather, i managed a bunch finish which is always a plus to be involved in the race, although when it came down to the crunch i had nothing left in the tank and had to roll in in 30th position.
The marshalling was second to none we had police vans everywhere, more motor bike out riders than you see in the tour de France, what a great set up, and the houses in Chigwell, i'm glad i left the good lady indoors i didn't want her getting any ideas.
A good race to enter next year well run event.
