RTTC 50 National Champinship
This took place today at Kirklevington up in North Yorkshire. 150 riders doing laps of a stretch of the A19 meant for a very early start with the ladies going off from 6.30.
Jackie was off just before 7 and had targeted this race as she had not done a 50 before. She was hoping for a top 10 overall but was not sure about her age group as there was another rider who she has only beaten once before. The wind had calmed from yesterday but was still a factor. She said after that it never felt like it was assisting!!
I was clocking her at various points around the course and could tell she was doing a very evenly paced ride and would likely come in under 2 hours.
She crossed the line with a 1.56.44 which she was very pleased with. This was good enough for 1st in her age cat and 5th overall woman.
