BALLBUSTER DUATHLON

edited March 2010 in Road Racing
It is what it says... five 8m laps up and down Box Hill in Surrey. Perfect weather and a big turn out as usual with a class field as you would expect for this tough race. The first run is always faster than the second, clocked a 59 minute lap. The last two miles of the 8m lap is going up the zig-zag hairpin road all the way to the top. On to the bike for three laps - 1 hour 23 minutes. Then the final run in 1 hour 09 minutes. Ended up coming in with a total of 3 hours 36 minutes which was 10th in my age category and top third overall. Didn't feel as painful as my other attempts even though I gave it some wellie. Maybe the core strength training has helped.
