Just Strappy and me today, we headed out (with a tail wind) over to Barrington; then down to Duxford; crossed over the M11 (for the 2nd time) at Ickleton, then up the hill and down a beautifully smooth tarmac descent in to Elmdon; header to Saffron (crossed the M11 again); and then turned back via Newport; Clavering; Brent Pelham;Buntingford; (very noticeable when we went from Essex into Herts, how bad the road surface became); then back via Sandon for the usual "bomb" to the A505.

52 miles at about 17.5 (defo faster out than back!)

    thanks for the mystery tour and an even bigger thanks for pulling me the whole way round. that new tarmac was a dream to ride on forgotten what its like to have no pot holes. finished on 72.70 mls @ 17.6 . away up Manchester next weekend and ride London the following one so you might be on your own.
