Welcome to the forum
Alps Pyrenees and a small world encounter
Just posting up some of the holiday shots. Thanks to all of those that gave advice about riding here. It was brilliant.
If you have been before then you will know but the September Pyrenees group are in for a real treat. I am not sure of their itinerary but the scenery and roads are perfect. Only 1 puncture between four of us over 2 weeks and that was really down to badly worn tyre!!
The icing on the cake after a very long climb up to the Col du Tentes on the Spanish border was a fluke meeting with John Polak who rolled into the car park about 10 minutes after us. We spotted the Cotswold top and wondered if they might know John but when the he removed his lid it was him. I can't repeat on the forum what he said.
view from the Izoard
with new friend at the top a misty col du soulor
same day out of the clouds at the Aubisque
view from Tourmalet
view from the Hautacam once you have left the massive car park
Not the prettiest destination but a good climb and views above the clouds
Col Du Tentes with JP (Spain in the background)
