Saturday 16th September 9.30am club ride

edited September 2017 in Club runs
Don't think we can go any flatter than the last two weeks so a bit of flat/lumpy for tomorrow. Thought that we could head out Elmdon way to use the amazingly resurfaced road in the middle of knowhere that we found a few weeks ago.

Something a bit like: Ashwell-Bassingbourn-Shepreth-fowlmere-back of Elmdon-Littlebury-Dudenhoe End-Langley-Anstey-Wydial-Buntingford-Sandon-Ashwell (46 miles)

Fingers crossed that the rain shower fairy has a day off tomorrow !

See you in the morning

10 of us out yesterday for the above flat/lumpy ride. Nicely paced warmup all the way to fowlmere and the over the 505 and into the Essex alps. Littlebury green road was indeed as amazing as the last time we used it, shame that we had to get to it by a road that can best be described as 'rough'. So and up and down from there all the way to Buntingford & a return via slip end.

Amazing we also stayed dry the whole of the ride, apart from a light sprinking of drizzle somewhere out near Langley. Was a bit cold though, so longs were the order of the day. The extra tiny CCA legwarmers that I got from Dan's kit bagain bucket worked a treat, although as they were blue I did look a little like a CCA smurf ;)

Thanks all, enjoyed that. Hopefully we can squeeze out a few more rides on the Summer bikes
  • Thanks again to those that waited following my puncture!! Thankfully made it back to Ashwell dry.
  • Thanks David, good route that i haven't not been on for a while.
