If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing
When you're feeling in the dumps
Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle, that's the thing.
And always look on the bright side of life
Always look on the right side of life.
Forgot about the midnight curfew and my head turned into a pumpkin around 2.30am. No sign of fairy godmother or Prince Charming. Did I lose a shoe?
Woke up feeling more like one of the ugly sisters. Still, given the bar proceeds went to charity, we bravely got stuck in and raised the evening's take considerably.
Managed a short solo spin this afternoon. Barkway, Buckland (about 6mph here uphill into storm Brian or one of his relatives), Therfield, Kelshaw, Sandon, Rushden, Southern Green, Throcking, Buntingford, Wydial, Anstey, Nuthampstead, Barkway.
I nicked the sprint on the line. 25 miles at 14mph. Great to be out on the winter bike in the sunshine and see the autumn leaves. Good cure for the night before. Now sober again for the remainder of October.
Good luck for the Masters, Sargeant Pain. Hope all the effort pays off.

Life's a piece of kit
When you look at it.
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true,
You'll see it's all a show,
Keep 'em laughing as you go.
Just remember that the last laugh is on you!
And always look on the bright side of life

Dry / wet , ok winds / strong winds.
Will look again this evening.
Do fancy a ride if possible and make it local so can bail when had enough.
But if wet and too windy will not go.
Will post about 8.15 tomorrow to say for sure. 50 / 50 at the moment.
Have winter bike with winter tyres ready.
Ciao
Doubt I'll be out tomorrow.
Have a charity ball to attend tonight, penguin suit and all.
Unlikely that I can keep my Sober for October resolve going this evening.
Have lasted 3 weeks so far, but grog has been paid for.
The more we drink, the greater the proceeds for charity, so all for a good cause.
Cinders.
Have a good one
Head into the westerly wind
Let’s go chaps !
Will confirm in morning
Going for it
See you there
Steady around the block in winter mode.
Pirates becoming soft and landlubbers.
Saw Richard out later, when on walk.
Rest trying on blouses.
New Winter tyres felt secure and comfortable ride. Recommend them.
Until next time

Did you win the sprint against yourself, Cap'n?
Cinders went to the ball last night.
