Great CX race over in Halton today. I was surprised to find myself gridded in 54th out of over 90 riders (Dave H not very happy). I had a good start and was right on Daves wheel but my luck ran out early on though as I punctured on the first lap. I got my bike on my shoulder and legged it to the pits but was now in last place, a long way back and shattered from the run effort. A quick wheel change and I was off, picking off riders every lap and made it to 58th so really pleased. It was an excellent course and certainly worth missing out on Eastern league points.

    Yes great course today. I arrived late so had to do my sighting lap just before my race which meant I missed my gridding and so started last. Had a good race though getting to 59th.
    Normally I'm not very good at hurdles and steep climbs but this race I shoudered early and made time on others each lap - thanks Mark and Jackie for their coaching as it clearly works! :)
