Saturday 2nd December 2017 - 9.30am club ride

According to the forecast it's going to be marginally less arctic tomorrow, although potential for some cold drizzle (nice!)

So lets head west and do the classic two bridges in reverse route:

Ashwell-langford/Henlow-Ireland-Cople-mogerhanger-tempsford-everton-potton-sutton-westlingworth-Ashwell (40 miles).

See you in the morning, I'll try not to complain too much about my winter bike :)

  • Eleven of us out this morning, a pretty good turnout for a cold, grey December day. Clasic winter fare today, so nice steady pace and some good group riding on display.

Pretty much followed the route above so down to Cardington, back up to Mogerhanger and then up the cliff to Everton. Must be more gravity in winter cos Everton hill was way harder today than it us in June ;)

As traditional, bit of a route deviation after Potton, so instead of going via Sutton we went via Dunton and Wrestlingworth and back in via Steeple.

So 42 miles at 16.5 avg. Huge thanks to Dom, Taff and Jane who were on the front pretty much the whole way round.

Oh and no sign of cold drizzle until me and Jenny cycled back. Shouldn't have mentioned it in my first post :(

Thanks all for a great morning, more winter fun next week !
