Ho, Ho, Ho - pre Chistmas festive club run tomorrow, with a super festive 10 degree forecast

Great ride this morning for the sort of mini egg ride. DaveN was looking splendid, bedecked in fetching gold tinsel with a mysterious hump on his back.....

All set off towards clavering via bunting ford and Wydial with a sterling pace being set on the front by an on fire SimonD! After shooting through Clavering and Arkensden we started the climb to littlebury green on the filthiest road known to man. Made Northfields look appealing it was that bad !!

Still, not all bad news as at the top Tim produced some excellent mince pies and mulled wine (still warm!) and Dave revealed that the mysterious hump was some splendid sausage rolls. Well done chaps, this is how a lay-by stop should be done

Final icing on the cake was Tim cranking up the tunes on a portable speaker, so after the slither down from the littlebury green mast we were treated to a selection of Christmas classics for the long grind back up to Chishill and Therfield.

After saying goodbye to the tunes and sausage rolls it was then a simple tilt back down to Ashwell via station road.

So, 45 festive miles @ 16. Brilliant stuff !
