just got back from from manchester so i will come out for a spin, is there a middle ride going out if so i can do that
need to back for around 12 - 12.30 see you at nine
    strappy.
  • plan to be out at 9am for a middle group.
  • can't manage a long run yet...will be taking it easy
  • Club run stats
    46miles back at 12.30 exactly
( two stops lost us 30 mins )
ave 15mph and 1800 feet of climbing
someone noticed the same person on the front
to half way - excellent work :-)
with Vic doing all the work back into the wind
    respect !
couple of sprints at the end
( new contestant on the block ! )

Looking to do "extended club runs "
    from now on
    ie 45 miles / 3 hours riding
( plus what ever stops )
    those wanting to get back
need to have own group or split
( let me know and I will tell you the route
    - well as far as I know it anyway )

good ride with all back together
ave will pick up as the weather gets better

    Best quote of the ride
" remember two ears and one mouth "

actually knew where we where this time
don't worry , will get us lost next week

  • Ouch!! I ended up with 80.1 and 16.7 ave. Thought we were going quicker than that but then we did go up every hill in Essex, Phil was having some sort of mad " lets recreate the Tour of Flanders in Essex" thing going on.
I recognised very little of where we were, but was actually a great route, thanks Phil. Thanks for the wheels coming back into that wind as well chaps, i was about fried.

Got home at 1.40 to find everyone else starting puddings. You can guess at my popularity levels, hopefully will be allowed out again by June ;-)

You cant beat a good hiding once in a while.

  • Memo to self: do not go out with a fast bunch then nonchalantly turn into the wind for a solo ride home. (Manged to average 17.3 for the ride mind.)

    Cheers guys
