Saturday 27th January 9.30am ride

Continually changing weather forecast again, so who knows what it's going to be doing in the morning??? Assuming it's favorable conditions, how about this route for tomorrow - don't think we have done the Kingston/Bourn route for a while:

  • Looks good, I'll hope to catch you between Littlington and Bassingbourn.
  • We're both off to Stratford tomorrow for the winter crit series so won't be joining you. Have a good one!
  • Change of plan, cycling with my son, we'll probably go the same route... You'll probably catch us up!!
  • Alrighty Alan, just jump on the back of the train if we come past!

And good luck tomorrow Dave and Jenny - hope you get a shedfull of points :)
  • Just 7 of us out this morning for the ride of two halves. The first was a lovely tailwind assisted, slightly sunny run down to Barrington, and then it changed.......

First we had the light drizzle and then somebody turned the wind machine up to 11 !!! Not sure how to describe the ride back but some sections could just be described as torturous :( Hightlight or possibly lowlight was Abbington piggots to Litlington where I think I managed to squeeze out 6mph on a slightly downhill section !

So 39 miles at 15.5 and lots of character building all round :)

Thanks all, I'll try and order some slightly less challenging conditions for next week !

  • Great ride, thanks again, wow.... that wind!!!!
  • Yes that was a hard-fought 40-odd miles, the last stretch from Bassingbourn to Royston for me was not pleasant at all!

Next week David can we have a ride of just the one half please?
