Home France Through Belgium to Holland Watch CX all day Back to Belgium PIZZA Back to Holland watch CX all day back through Belgium to France to Home.
14 of us in 3 cars. Thanks to all involved for making it such a fun trip. Daniel D for the eye spy books and food in our car, Steve L for the prediction competition and especially Mark W for the organizing.
GB did brilliantly. Super tough course and great atmosphere and racing on both days. So very muddy and loads of climbing and off camber. Inspirational riding skills.

  • Travelling to the CX World Championships was a simply excellent way to end the season. Not only spending time with CCA CX riders but also other friends from the Eastern League and beyond. A real celebration of the sport. The racing was incredible and shows that the world of cyclocross is in great shape; not least in the UK.

Many thanks to all those who joined the trip, planned it, organised food and, esepcially, the drivers who pulled heroic shifts to get us across countries and back. Special thanks to the Fields for putting up with me in their car.
  • Also there was the CCA VIPs Peter & Sam who flew in by private jet who of course for image copyright reasons were unable to be in the group photo.
  • My 'private jet' was a £30 Michael O'Leary special to Eindhoven. The flight and train trip was very straightforward and stress free but because we left on Saturday morning it did mean we missed the 1st race. Really good to see these elite athletes showing us how it's done on what can only be described as a brutal course.
