Muddy Monsters, 24th Feb 2018
I'm not sure all members know we are part of the Muddy Monsters racing series, so thought it a quick update.
Kids racing... really from any age up to 15, with the aim to get kids riding and racing skills honed. Bike in working order, helmet, gloves and warm clothes are all they need. Each MM consists of a short race, longer endurance race and a fun all-in race handicapped to ability levels at the end.
There's a nice group of CCA youth gathering at most events, and the atmosphere is always positive and a good balance of fun and competitiveness.
Last Saturday saw 50+ riders and their families cheer their children on down at our Grass Track. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make the day go smoothly. The last two rounds are - Hitchin this Saturday, 10-12pm (registration from 9.30am), and then finally Welwyn the week after.

While I'm here... the Milton Keynes March race series starts on Saturday 3 March, over at MK Bowl's road circuit. The 4 rounds have 2 rounds with kids racing: 3rd and 17th March. Usefully, the kid's racing there is on mid afternoon and generally clear of all those other kid's commitments and birthday parties that fill the diary.

Also, the MK March racing series, the same day, is off too. Hopefully the next three rounds are OK. And the next kid's one is 17th March FYI.
And, I see all the road circuit racing at Lee Valley on Saturday has just been cancelled too.
Looks like it's time to finish off that model of the Titanic that fizzled out after Christmas.
