Early bird ride, Sun 20th May 2018, 6.45am Guilden Morden village hall
Early one, if anyone fancies. The Etape Du Oiseau de Bonne Heure.
To St Ives and the Busway. Note this route is slightly different from the usual, with a small off-road bit after Highfields Codicote, as I'm sick of that bumpy du-dum-du-dum road at Longstowe, and like that smooth road at Caxton.

This is more a training ride: faster and longer than the club run. Single file. 20mph+. Take the front, or tuck in. 'Riding in the bunch' simulation for Dan's imminent Cambridge Gran Fondo. Guilden-Guilden is about 58 miles.
Dan is leaving Ashwell approx 6.30am. Leaving from Guilden Morden village hall, 6.45am. Martin 07977 652 247.

"Small off-road bit" - hmm...
Great ride, cheers chaps. And good luck Dan with the race.
Forget about the off-road 'clever cut-through' bit. It goes right past Bourn bog works. But it may as well take you right through it.
Better to just add a few miles and turn up for Bourn on the road and then cut across to Caxton.
Other than that: a good TTT ride. Good luck to all doing the Cambridge Gran Fondo in a couple of weeks.
