Bikes and Horses

All riders should be aware of the BC advise on what to do when you meets horses during a ride, recently updated I think so worth a read even if you have read before. There was a very ugly video doing the rounds on Facebook recently of cyclists riding appallingly around a horse rider during the Windsor Triathlon (going past at speed, no warning, on both sides of the horse, and actually bumping into the horse and then not stopping....). Predictably there was a phenomenal anti-cycling back lash in the thousands of comments the video attracted... we have the opportunity whenever we meet other road-users to represent cycling in the best possible light.

BC advice
