Saturday 30th June 9.30am club ride

Westerly routes are out tomorrow as the Langford bridge is shut, so let's head east instead.

How about this gem - we can see if the random road near Elmdon is still nicely resurfaced :)

Ashwell-Bassingbourn-Shepreth-fowlmere-back of Elmdon-Littlebury-Dudenhoe End-Langley-Anstey-Wydial-Buntingford-Sandon-Ashwell (46 miles)

Also, when we get to Langley we could tack a couple of extra miles on and drop down to Clavering lakes for some refreshment :)

See you in the morning - going to be a toastie one !!!

  • Looks good David....especially the Clavering bit...will need to keep our hydration up!
  • Sounds good - I'll aim to meet you at Clavering Lakes. Dave's aiming to ride up to Ashwell for 9.30.

14 out this morning for the spin to Clavering lakes. Nice flat warmup toFowlmere into a surprisingly brisk easterly wind. Still on the positive it kept us cool(ish) on a baking hot day.

Clavering lakes was excellent again, although was over run with cyclists in need of hydration & cake fuel so we were there a fair old while. Still can’t complain, lovely place to be on a sunny Sat morning :)

Deviated from the posted route and came back via Clavering, Buntingford and slip end. Met up with the chaps from the 8am ride for a second round of refreshment in the rather toastie Tuns garden.

So 51 miles @ 16. Enjoyed that; thanks all for a great morning !
