Saturday 28th July 9.30am club ride

Not quite as toastie tomorrow, might even have to crack out the arm-warmers ;)

How about we do something new & go and explore some of the roads in North Beds. Something like this:

https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/19859421

Ashwell, Langford, Broom, Blunham, Gt Barford, Wilden-Thurleigh,Salph End, Rehhold, Barford, Blunham, Everton, Potton, Wrestlingworth, Ashwell

If a few people could upload the route to their Garmins that would be great, or we might get 'navigationally challenged' in the wilds of Bedfordshire !!

See you in the morning.....

Great route this morning on a super windy day ! These are the four things we found out on today’s ride

    1. North Beds has some awesome traffic and pot hole free roads but .....
    2. Somebody has removed all of the hedges and trees out there so it’s windy as .....
    3. Try as hard as you like, but you can’t out run (or out ride) a massive storm cloud. Luckily Great Barford has some handy big trees to shelter under !
    4. If you drive a very large Maserati then you are clearly too posh to turn the steering wheel !

Massive thanks to Tim and Andy for their huge turns on the front into the almost continual headwind wind

    Final tally was 53 @ 16 and a bit

Thanks all for a great morning, we will have to do a re-run of this route when it’s not quite so breezy :)
  • Thanks David - agree a good route and nice to ride some new roads. A few more things we found out:

    5. There are no dragons after all in North Beds - phew
    6. I don't like that wet stuff falling out the sky, can we go back to dry please!
