CX Summer series: final race... Thursday 29th August

CCA are organising a CX Summer Series to be held at Small Gains Lane on Thursday evenings throughout August. These are for everyone with all categories catered for including Novice so if you've never raced before the this is your chance to start at a course you may be familiar with.

Entries are limited for each race due to space so if you are interested I suggest you enter in advance. Entries open tonight at midnight.

    These start tomorrow down at the grass track. Come along and race, plenty of places left in all races. Or just come along to watch. Helpers always appreciated, we can never have too many. Racing starts at 6.20

    Well I hated it, but I might do another one!

    CX racing definitely isn't for me, but a low key event like these, just maybe.

    Have got to learn how to get un-clipped though or maybe just do it on flat pedals. I might have been last but one if it wasn't for the un-clipping failures.

    It was great to see 3 new CCA racers yesterday, Robert, Alistair and Geoff. As Robert said these are really low key events, perfect for anyone who is thinking about racing CX to give it a go.

    Time triallists, talk to Al on Sunday and see if it's for you. We should all be more like Al, give anything a go!

    Hi,

    I’m hoping to finally try a bit of CX this year. Should be over for the final round on 29 Aug. Should I enter the Novice or Senior race?

    I'd say seniors. There's not much difference between the two and if you start at the back you won't be getting in anyones way. I might end up combining the two races anyway depending on numbers, as the light is going to be an issue and we'll need to condense the programme.

    A reminder all: there is NO race Thurs 22 August.

    The LAST RACE is Thurs 29 August. I believe it will be a more condensed programme of racing due to the evening light - so check later for race times.
