5th June Evening Club 10 TT - Report
On another warm, still evening the personal bests stacked up yet again, with 6 in total. In an impressive turn of speed our fastest Gentleman on the evening with a new PB was Mr. Lawless who was in turn just nudged out of the fastest Mens' Vets (off standard) category winner by our immediate past TT organiser extraordinaire, Mr. McKenzie. Overall winner of the Vets category (off standard) was, however, Mrs. Field (excuse me ma'am) who was also unsurprisingly fastest Lady too and closing in on her own PB set in August of last year. Fastest Junior was young Master Ayers, who took to shaving...a few seconds off his own PB! :-)
The evenings results are as follows (CCA unless indicated):
The Handicap this year is turning into a three horse race with Mr. Marriage retaining top spot (now jointly with Mr. Askew) with points awarded for his helping out "on the watches" this evening.
The evenings results are as follows (CCA unless indicated):
1 M. Lawless 22:49 (PB)In the Handicap competition, Mr. Doncaster found slicker road tyres more to his liking and was winner on the night with a 50 second PB, no less. Mr. Hall was the another PB-beater with an impressive 31 seconds lopped off last year's best time. However, a particularly eye-catching PB on the night was Mr. Askew who moved forward in the Handicap top three with Mr. Orriss not far behind with another PB of his own.
