As David is away tomorrow I suggest we do the 2nd option he proposed last week:

Ashwell-Therfield-Reed-Barkway-Nuthamstead-Ansty-Measden-Langley-Dudenhoe End-Elmdon-Shepreth-Meldreth-Bassingbourn-Ashwell (41 miles)

Looks like it will be an Easterly wind so this route seems a good fit. However the forecast also says it might be raining tomorrow morning, so I suggest we review the situation first thing.
