Saturday 21st Dec 9.30am club ride - with festive cafe stop !

edited December 2019 in Club runs
Looks like we might get a weather window tomorrow where cold wet stuff isn't falling from the sky - hurrah !

How about we do this as our festive, shortest day spin tomorrow

Ashwell-slip end-sandon-buckland-barkway-gt Chishill-littlebury green-back of Elmdon-Elmdon-shepreth-meldreth-bassingbourn-Ashwell (43 miles)

(something a bit like this, minus the Bygrave road repeat: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/29492014)

Thought that we could also try out a new cafe on the way back. Hot numbers in Shepreth, awesome coffee if reports are right :). Might need some local help finding it though as it's not actually in Shepreth.......

See you in the morning, tinsel and santa hats optional !

  • It's easy to find , no problem, see you in the morning.
  • Sounds good, I've been there and yes it is good. It's just off the A10 on the road into Melbourn near the garden centre.

I was planning on bringing some mince pies and mulled wine, but no worries - unless we want an intermediate stop before the cafe?
  • Great idea Tim, I’m sure we can squeeze in a quick mulled wine stop around Elmdon way :)
  • Yep, I'm thinking top of the hill on the way back from Ickleton to Elmdon, like last year I think?

    Looking forward to it already!
