Welcome to the forum
CCA 25mile TT - all welcome - this Sunday
Calling all testers.....that is, anyone with a CCA shirt, the ability to ride 25 miles and 4 limbs (actually you dont really need 4 limbs, just the other 2)
Signing on will be at the cemetary from 8.45, first come, first served. At 9.15 will we roll up to the start.
The start is just south of the Wrestlingworth crossroads at the top of the hill. proceed to Guilden where you will pass the finish flag just before the Guilden sign. At this point you have 2 laps to do. Carry on into Guilden up the small hill and turn left at the "Cambridge, Shingay " sign. Stay on this road through Wendy to Junction with A1198. Turn left with extreme care, there is a good run on area but its a busy road, YOU MUST LOOK. Carry on for a short distance up to the roudabout and turn left. stay on this road until you reach the Wrestligworth crossroads, turn left through start, on to finish and one more lap.
Things to note;
The course is fairly pot hole free, but i did see a couple on the Guilden to Wendy road, one at the turn to Abington Pigotts and one just before wendy
There is a road race using the roundabout at the same time as us. It is coming south on the 1198 and turning left to Wimpole, so you probably wont even see it, just be aware of startled drivers.
Once you have finished could you not bother the timekeeper, with "did i go fast? what did my mate do? Do my tribars match my pointy hat? type questions. Its a fast finish and i dont want people milling about in the road. Please head back to Ashwell once youve finished and we`ll meet in the Tuns for the results.
If anyone has a reasonable excuse for not riding, such as malaria, ebola virus, broken neck...i could use a marshal on the mainroad junction, volunteers appreciated.
If we dont get 20 riders im highly likely to go off in a huff, muttering about how sportives are killing cycle sport, so please, please try and ride. Be brave its only 25 miles!
See you all Sunday morning

I've convinced myself that I ride faster on it than on my Focus - probably just because it's new and fairly unique and I'm sadly in love with it!
