Hello all!
Just a quick note to remind everybody that at CC Ashwell we really try and keep everything polite and courteous wherever we ride. CCA are a welcoming bunch and whenever I see a blue jersey on the road I generally always get a hello and a wave back, which is always nice to see.
Now that the sun's out and people are out cycling/walking/running on the roads and bridleways around Herts, Cambs and Beds this is just a reminder that a smile and a polite hello goes a long way towards diffusing any potentially grumpy situations that may occur.
Always check whether you're allowed to ride on a path before heading down it on two wheels (one if you're really good) by having a look on an OS map. Google, Komoot and Garmin connect have a rather annoying habit of sending you down footpaths when you're plotting a cycle route, so double check with an OS map first if you're unsure.
HAPPY CYCLING! It's beautiful out there and we have some of the best on and off road riding around this way (unless you love a hill) so get out there and enjoy it.
