Fingers crossed we might actually see some sunshine tomorrow - easterly breeze so lets head that way first.

I've gone for a sort of new route for tomorrow which is a mash-up of a couple of old Essex favorites. So this could be either a fantastic trip or one that we never repeat again :)

Ashwell-Buntingford-Wydial-The Pelhams-Manuden-Rickling Green-Wickham Bonhunt-Roast Green-Meesden-Ansty-Barkway-Therfield-Ashwell (47 miles)

    Well, even if I do say so myself the route on Saturday was a bit of a triumph & definitely one to do again. Nice start on some familiar roads before some cracking, pretty empty and pothole free lanes around Manuden and Rickling Green.

    Even managed a bonus coffee/cake stop with some excellent refreshments at Poppy's barn just outside Langey. Cake forks and china plates easily beats our normal layby with optional dumped mattress stop :)

    So 48 @ about 16 for a final tally. Thanks all for a great morning, will see what I can come up with for this Saturday !!
