Sunday 13th June rides

edited June 2010 in General
I regret I will not be there
unable to ride at the moment

Some people appear to getting wound up over the rides
This will be discussed soon by the committee
but after 10 years of debating this
I am afraid it does depend who turns up and who is prepared to take a ride
( and will change slightly each week )

So
Normally 3 rides
at the moment

youth ride with Geoff ( but getting "too big ")
aerobic ride ( really medium , but don't want fast boys to split this up )
medium ride ( really fast , but don't want to be called that or join the "real medium" )
( PS description not designed to affend , honest, just explain the problem )

debate over which is the true "club run "
with Bob taking this sometimes, but has not been there every week
Is the sat run now the club run ?

This Sunday a number of " ride leaders " not there
so you will have to sort amongst yourselves

Also the club 25 of course
so can all enter and no problem then !

would also help if more people prepared to take a ride
yes we all want to enjoy OUR sunday
( as long as someone organises it )

So remember
this is a village club , looking to enjoy riding

Have fun Sunday

James

PS I am off work and not looking for a protracted debate at this point
talk to a committee member with your views
( not the forum please )
the next committee meeting is 2nd July
will set up a pub discussion if you want one
Tues 6th July is the normal get together
Smile :-)

  • Reminder to ALL youth riders and starter riders........I will NOT be there this week as I am in Basildon on the Ford circuit with 6 of our young riders on a British Cycling RSR training day assisting Rob Sharman and others

So..please can someone be there to take a starter adult/club ride for those not wanting to do medium run....I usually top them out at 15or so MPH for 26-40 miles depending on who is there.

    hope the weather holds
