Ashwell Muddy Monsters
Thanks to everyone - especially the 46 brave racers - for a great Saturday afternoon of racing at the Ashwell Muddy Monsters Kids' Racing.
Respect to everyone helping to set up, marshal, judge and pack everything away. Thanks to all the mums, dads and relatives who came along to cheer everyone. Thanks to the brilliant hot drink and biscuits van that raised over £100! Wow! Thanks to Welwyn Wheelers for the loan of their PA system. It was great to see the dozen or so Ashwell racers giving their all. They’re all winners for taking to the start line in difficult conditions.
Best of luck to all at the next Muddy Monsters round (Welwyn, 11 December 9am) and we look forward to the next Ashwell round Saturday 29 January 1.30pm.
If anyone knows a child who would like to dip their toes into bike racing, reach out for more details. Muddy Monsters goes on for just a couple of hours with a short and long race in under 8, 10 and 12&14-combined categories. £5 entry - but Ashwell racers ride for FREE at the Ashwell event. We will see 4 and 5 year olds turn up. Everyone is included and cheered on. Thanks.
