Saturday Ride Review 9th August

edited August 2008 in General
With a lot of regulars on holiday in the sun, four of us started out on Saturday on what turned out to be a very windy and wet day (we weren't bitter though!). To make matters worse, we choose a lumpier than a usual saturday ride to Preston. By the time we reached Baldock, which seemed to take an age due to a horrible headwind, we were down to three people. One puncture later, we met Chris at Willian, and were back to a group of four. we finally got some speed up, and 'flew ' up Preston hill due to a handy tail wind and carried on picking up the pace back to Graveley. Chris and David peeled off home around Baldock, and Steve and myself were left on our own on the route back. In the end, a 32 mile route at around 14.5 mph, which was pretty good considering the conditions.
