Hi is there a contacts list available for members. The membership form says

"Data Protection Act: I consent to my contact details being published to other
members of the Club.
Signed by applicant ……………………………………………………….."

If there is a list with name phone number, e-mail etc it would be brillant to have a copy. Prehaps it could be distributed, it would make life so much easier. Just a thought....

Hi Tim....not a good idea to have a general list circulating...data is kept by key people....please ask and we will give you those contact details.....club secretary should have the updated list membership sec. has the complete list. If one sends a complete list to each member those details could get outside the club much easier. That wouldn't be protecting our members from unwanted spam or worse .

Hi Tim

In the interim - and maybe preferably for many people - I'm looking into installing an extension on the forum to allow users to 'whisper'; that is to discuss with someone on the forum, one-to-one, without any others seeing. It's quite a common good forum feature and I think this would be a popular middle ground for members: keeping communication on the club forum - who might prefer that to an personal email dialogue and avoid anxiety over spam etc.

It's just taking me a while to work it out.
