Mid-season TT update

edited July 18 in Time Trial
We are well over half way through the season, so it's time for a competition update. Still plenty of time to get some rides in, improve your times and score more points.

First up, the Handicap competition. A much loved competition with the wonderful prize of the Northfield Cup going to the winner. The magic has been applied to all of the results and the table is taking shape. It's turning out to be a battle of the youth, which is terrific to see. With 21 points for a win, there really is nothing between the top two.
Name Rides Handicap Points
L Ayres 8 141
C Marlow 10 126
R Bumstead 9 115
S Marlow 7 78
S Douglas 6 62
E Koppe 7 50
M Lawless 5 48
S Miles 7 43
G Ewen 2 34
B Ronayne 3 18
P Buckland 1 16
A McLeish 1 13
D Marriage 2 12

For the 'fastest' categories, only rides on the Wrestlingworth course count, and a minimum of 3 rides are required to qualify.

The fastest junior rider is a battle between the same two. Given that we haven't had junior riders for a few years, I'm sure you'll agree that this is terrific to see, and their times are impressive too.
Name Season Time (ave of best 3)
C Marlow 00:27:30
L Ayres 00:30:04

The ladies is another hotly contested category!
Name Season Time (ave of best 3)
E Koppe 00:26:54

The men's category
Name Season Time (ave of best 3)
B Ronayne 00:22:21
M Lawless 00:23:29
S Douglas 00:25:45
S Miles 00:26:08
S Marlow 00:26:13
R Bumstead 00:26:14

And finally, the Vets of standard competition (where a larger time is best - i.e. the greater you are below your target time based on age and gender):
Name Season Time (ave of best 3)
B Ronayne 00:04:06
M Lawless 00:03:22
S Douglas 00:02:37
R Bumstead 00:02:28
S Miles 00:02:14
E Koppe 00:01:53
S Marlow 00:00:50

If I have made any mistakes, please let me know - I am only human. And if you have been riding all year and haven't helped out, please take your turn. We've had to cancel some weeks due to lack of organisers. If you take part, then it's only fair that you help out. Thanks all.
