Congratulations to JIM REES for setting a new ,in fact the the only club record at 12 HOURS today ..this is his first attempt ,recording 243 miles in the ECCA event on the E2....that's 20.25 mph average on a windy and at times wet course!
Now there's a challenge.....WELL DONE JIM!!

    Thanks Carmelo! It's all your fault. It was a real mindset challenge, there were soooo many times I thought of quitting but I guess I didn't. I had to sit up after 130 miles due to my TT bike being too aggressive, my neck was sore and back, not to mention other bits!! I think is one of those records that might stand for a while, I don't think anyone has done a 100 yet apart from my go a couple of years ago with a 4.32.

    I did 4.23 for my first 100 yesterday and then struggled.

    What a brilliant effort Jim, maintaining that effort for 12 hrs takes some concentration,makes me realise how far off the pace I am.

    Hi Everyone,

    It look's like my Cateye let me done a little, I ended up with 241.82 in 11th overall. I stopped with 1 minute to go which means I could have had 10th place but I didn't fancy riding back onto the extremely quick A11. Another example of every second counts! A good lesson for me to make sure I have full support IF I ever do another one of these.
