Tour of Britain stage 6 Kings Lynn-Great Yarmouth Thurs 16th Sept

edited September 2010 in General
I am driving up to watch this stage of the Tour of Britain next Thursday as I have never witnessed a professional stage race and it seems silly not to see it as it is so close to our area. Friday's stage is closer but I will be travelling to Belgium that day!

Anyway, if anyone fancies a day out to indulge in cycling, I would welcome some company and am driving. It's a 1015 start in Kings Lynn so will probably leave a little before 8 to allow for traffic and parking.

After the start I will head to a sprint point or two and/or the climbs, before heading to the finish in Great Yarmouth at around 1520 aiming to be back hopefully between 5 and 6.

Stef is probably coming too, so at the moment I've got 2 spare places in the car.

Should be a great day out so let me know here, and the details of the race are here

  • Hi,

I will be there, helping to organise kids racing on the finish line. Come and say hello if you get a chance.

Colchester the next day as well. Should be a good finish up East Hill.

  • Didn't see you today Pete but hope you had as good a day as did, we had a great day, saw the sprint in Norwich then went onto the finish, waited for the presentation then went round the back and got Brad to autograph his book, then had a chat with Ed Clancy. Great day out. Quick calculation 118 miles in 4hrs 9 mins = 28.4mph average - amazing on a windy N Norfolk coast route
