Sounds like fun. Suggest we start earlier and offer others the chance of a turn off at some point. Martin might be up for this and tells me it's easy to turn off at any point. Tim H was up for a run too. Any other takers?
will see. if i can get cover for sunday i would like to join mark wyer for the first cyclocross race of the year. but this is looking unlikely. so next option would be an early one on Saturday. i need to check if cover is possible for that one too. should be able to ride until around 11am on saturday so could get in 60 if we leave at 8am.
cristalise your plans and i will do my best to join you.
if you are not doing the points grabber at whitwell does that mean you have bought a 'cross bike and are joining mark, me and (hopefully) vince cyclo cross racing at chelmsford??
ok i can ride first thing so will join you all at 8am but have to be back by 11am latest. so 60 miles and if the reliability ride skirts ashwell a lot i can find a way back. are you all still up for 8am depart from ashwell? Have we been hijacked by TT natter? Phil K. Cannot ride sunday unfortunately so fly the flag at the cyclo cross and we will have to plan tacktics for the Baldock race.
martin cheers.
just been told the game is off and i don't get to play tomorrow. sorry chaps cannot ride after-all. will have to try and put a few miles in during my dreams this weekend and keep the fitness gained from Belgium up some other way.
enjoy

7 out. Me, Phil A, Robbie, Pete, Jason, Chris and David. It was the Belgium weather we were expecting last week perhaps. Clear, cold, v windy. The GD100 is maybe an excellent winter ride: always able to peel off. Safe. Up and down. Great ride today.
Pete left at Old Warden - good luck tomorrow in Brighton. Two punctures early doors around Cople. Robbie had one even with winter tyres on. The 2010 flint gremlin still continues to hide in Robbie's seat pack somewhere... Both repaired super-quickly. The wind behind us for large stretches - oddly. We tonked it through the first 50. Jason was doing a sterling job powering on the front at times: putting the fast into medium/fast.
Jason left at the A505. Chris and David peeled off at Heydon to total about 60 miles. I left Phil and Robbie to it at Clavering. Everyone gets what they want. And the 8am start helped too I think: back to Ashwell just before 1pm with 81 miles at 18mph av having grinded through the headwind on the drops going uphill. Song in my head; Martha Reeves and the Vandellas; nowhere to run to baby, nowhere to hide.

Anyone else fancying it - the great thing about the Geoff Denny is that you're never more than about 15 miles from Ashwell - so you can go for as long as you like really.
