Well done Skelders. I bet the ink is still wet? I can de-pack my old CCA top then.
Weather forecast remains good - 18 degrees, partly sunny and even just light winds on Saturday. Am I looking at an Ypres in Libya or somesuch on this weather forecast website? A part of me kinda wanted brutal horizontal rain and mud Paris-Roubaix stylee.
You'll join me next year then Martin on the first serious open Newcastle to Galway charity ride??? certainly guarantee the first two on your wish list.
Thanks all for a very enjoyable weekend away. Hope it is not just my legs that are aching.
Thoroughly enjoyed the company and riding.
i haven't done so much interval / sprint training in well over 10 years.
I was robbed at the trapist brewery with it being shut. That was a blow.
Not getting myself double booked..that's for sure.....Anyone for Italy?/ or are you planning a return to France or Belgium mark 2??
Haven't seen a three day report yet so don't know what you lot got up to...food, 5 course/coarse(you tell us) meals by rivers with starched tablecloths and posh waiters?? mileage??? terrain...sights...sprint winners??
There was lots
winners and those who lost their way
signs and white boards ( still count )
meals and snacks
20% hills , windy flats ,25 mile / hour runs , glorious rides
France and Belgium with an English club
sprinters and hill climbers
banter , plots , historical info , moving moments , compassion
oh and belgium beer
yum yum
the sun shining in a belgium square
the town clock chiming
the brass band playing
and the collective smile of renewed souls
