Back on the bridge of the Black Pig - 9.30 21st
Pugwash and myself back on the bridge again this week along with some of regular crew who have been on leave for a week or two.
Forcast is looking good, so sign on at the Tuns, 9.30 for club run pace, 16 - 17 mph, back at 12.30 to 1.00ish.

Sunday morning adventure
see you there
CP
Hope everyone gets better soon.
strappy.
One mile from "home" the pace increased, as it does, then one front rider made an initial "break" (pardon the pun), upping the speed, I pulled out, went 'round the small group in front of me to try and hang onto the front rider's coat tails.
Seconds later: CRASH!
Three bike pile up.
Others can probably tell you more than I since it all happened in my proverbial rear view mirror.
No cars in sight, thankfully.
The moral of the story: look after each other out there, but sometimes "£$% happens, in fact, it's quite surprising how infrequently it seems to happen given how close we are to one another and the speeds involved (even in the Steady Group) and the dire state of the local roads.
Speedy recovery guys.
it's normally me ending up on the deck with somthing broken.
good luck all.
strappy.
Son's footy season ended yesterday, so I'll be digging out my tricorn hat and joining the crew again for the summer, starting Sunday, if there's anyone fit left to ride with!
John
Were you the CCA Blue Train that I saw in Thriplow about 12.00 noon? You all looked to be going so well and the weather was excellent.
What a nasty end for some to a nice ride.
Wishing you all well,
John Meadows (CCA Saturday rider)
I'd love to know what the locals think.
Last Sunday's ride saw 9 (?) Leave and 2 return.
This Sunday would have had them scratching their heads as people drifted back in slow time plus one group of walking wounded and a valet car with scraps o' bits o' bikes with some non-walking wounded on board.
"Loonies, them cyclists, mad as carrots the lot of them."
