Ashwell - Wells-next-the-Sea Classic 2021, Fri 10 Sept 2021
Hi all
Just an early note for the diaries... the annual CCA Classic to the sea will be setting off from Rhubarb & Mustard, Ashwell 8.30am on Friday 10 Sept 2021. 123 miles of fun for fish and chips, and then a train ride back from King's Lynn with a few refreshments.
Note it's the Club's September grass track event the next day. Always a great cure for a hangover.

Just bringing this ride back to the top. Friday 10 Sept 8.30am... See your summer season off in style with a big ride to the seaside and some drinks and singing on the train home from King's Lynn. Maybe without masks on...

Graham, I spoke with the brewery last year. It was a bit tricky as they weren't going to be open at the time we were passing and didn't really offer any food.
I think the pub has done us a great turn the past few years and should keep the business with them... Assuming they have survived!!... Martin, I will get in touch with them.
Many people have been on this ride before. But if you haven't - rest assured, it's always a good day and even though it sounds long, Norfolk miles do roll pretty easily, especially when chatting and drafting along in the bunch. Go for it!

Rhubarb's can't accommodate us on the morning. They're on hols. I will think of an alternative start location.

Ely for morning coffee around 40 miles. West Acre is about 70 miles deep. Wells - for fish and chips if you fancy - is around the 95 marker.
I still haven't arranged a new starting point but will do soon. Rhubarbs can't do the morning.
