Nice one Geoff, good to read you're back on two wheels and rolling well......I'd like to say I enjoyed The Stang, but it was much more a case of just surviving to the top and keeping both wheels firmly on the ground. That said, I loved it and thanks…

Brilliant! The company, the weather, the cafes, the route, the camaraderie and all those that worked so tirelessly on the front (not me!). I must confess I occupied the "armchair" seat for as much of the ride as poss, and I'm most grateful to those …

I will gladly sit in and be pulled along. I need to draft as much as is humanly possible on this one. I can here those CCA cries already..."no change there then" ha ha.....

Good to see you, all be it fleetingly as we sped by each other........

Loving the badge, just hope I'm a finisher!

A class "A" Garmin user wally right here! This morning I uploaded the cafe ride onto my Garmin device, only for it to register on Strava that I'd actually ridden it. I should like to stress for those that may have seen this i.e. PG, I HAVE NOT RIDDE…

I wouldn't quite go so far as to say that - early days. If you make it Geoff, it would be great to see you........

May I suggest for those more difficult moments on the ride (of which I'm certain there will be plenty), this could be the motivational chant required to muster those final reserves of energy just before the next cafe stop. I guess it's just the ol' …

Hi Mr D, I shall be leading from the front punching a mighty hole into the air for everyone else to comfortably ride in....haha. I even took a photo of my Chris Carmichael training sheet to upload here; unfortunately, I don't know how.....see you on…

Indeed it is.....and yes I am intending to ride. I completely accept that I may well be dropped and I've made provisions for just such an eventuality. I will also be completely self sufficient so as not to be a hindrance - all good here....really lo…

How much prior notice do you require Daniel. In all probability I reckon on making my final decision late Feb.

I'm just starting over after a 3yr lay off and I think this amazing cycling (and food) extravaganza will serve as an excellent goal for me to remain focused and motivated. Consider this as me declaring some serious interest in this one. Keep you all…

Andy, Richard, Really great bumping into you guys a the foot of the mighty Col de Croydon. I hope your ride continued to go well. I managed a whopping 27.5m....loved it! My continued return to two wheels will be slow and steady....keep you posted. P.

Morning Chaps, Heading out the door now, may or may not catch up with you guys....Mr P.

In an attempt to rebuild my cycling career, and all things being equal, I shall be there....hooray! :-)

Finally hoping to join you all for a nice easy ride next weekend guys. Mr P.

What a wonderfully successful festival of grass track racing.....well done all you super racers, organisers and cheering spectators for making this such a terrific afternoon on a most superb grass track surface.......way better than my lawn!

I'm in. The hillier the better!

Well done matey.......RESULT!

Well done you, a most thoroughly deserved victory. Breathtaking stuff, and a most wonderful account of such a special ride. From now on those Sunday club rides will all seem a little mundane and FLAT!
-
Truly the most incredible feat of endurance - total respect. What's also caught my eye is a couple of your max speeds, in particular stage 3 where your Garmin recorded 129.6mph!
-
Allez, allez! Quite simply awesome. Don't even contemplate the remotest of negative thoughts, you stay right on course and complete it in style - we know you can do this, so the very best of luck over the next few days.
-
Apologies for any confusion with respect to my broken chain (3rd this year!) this morning; and thank you to Joshua and Jon for returning to check up on me - I hope the ride was not unduly delayed. Once home I quickly removed the TWO broken links, pu…

Training within pre-defined heart rate zones can be beneficial, there's no doubting that and the above discussions really just about cover it all. However, if you can afford it, training with power is widely recognised as being the most precise meth…

Carolyn, I'll pop it in the post. Cheers.

Perfect Nigel, I'll pop along to the TT. Cheers.

I can confirm that I'm now in possession of the Olympic certificates. Can all those that took part please "whisper" your details i.e. name of rider, and address. I will then happily either pop it through your letter box or post it to you. Alternativ…
