Martin - I will be there and with a friend (Keir) who we will meet in Caldecott Village. Looking forward to it.
-
Will be meeting Tania and Graham Mck in Ely. I have said we should get there about 1030, does that sound about right?
-
Martin, Can you please add: Tania Wicklow. Graham McKenzie. Thank you.
-
Martin, I have booked the day off so can you please put my name down please.
-
Only 3 out, but we took advantage of the quite roads whilst the football was on. It was nice to visit the Hub again but sadly they did not have the ingredients to cheese and ham toasties.
-
Poppy’s barn was fine. Was pretty quiet though.
-
Hi Geoff, Look forward to a catch up. Steady pace so you don't need to bring you crit racing legs!
-
Good to see you out Will. It was a great ride, but hot and require several water stops and of course a beer at the Tuns.
-
Since there is only going to be 3 of us I propose a change of plan to avoid the hour or so drive to the start of the ride. Revised route attached. https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/41676505 Plan is therefore to leave the 3 Tuns at 0830. …

Last time I rode this route it took me just under 6hrs.

I have a Velovault which has been good and supposedly take a 29er MTB. If I was buying again I would probably look at the ones from SiCon since you don’t have to remove the bars and seat, which is a factor if you have integrated stem/bar. Trisports…

8 out today, enjoying the spring weather. We got a great boost from the tailwind on the return leg and beer tasted good in Potton. Ended up just under or over the 💯 depending on where you started. Roll on summer.
-
4 out this morning for a great ride on some quiet north beds roads. Cracking bacon sandwich at Olivers cafe in Kimbolton.
-
Just been notified that Hadleigh has been cancelled due to lack of entries.
-
6 out this morning for a ride in the glorious spring sunshine. Punchy 18.3 ave, cafe stop in Bourn and a beer back at the Tuns.
-
Following requests slight change of plans. The keen ones will have notice that the route does not go as far as pub.
-
Hi Bob, The max we could take was 32, but 25 would have been reasonable at £22 each + bike hire. I will try again when then advise me of the next sessions released.
-
Unfortunately there is insufficient interest to make the booking viable so I have emailed Lee Valley to advise.

Andy, I am not about this weekend but catch up soon. Enjoy all.

Andy, The route is along the canal path is a mix of tarmac, hardcore/ gravel and concrete so given the very dry weather so it's is probably rideable on 32mm road tyres. Last time I rode this I used my 26" hardtail MTB. A 29" MTB would be as faste…
