To have the club champs without the club champ to defend his title, I think it’s only fair to have the race on a date that the reigning club champ can make. I have a holiday ban from 15th -31st December and can’t take holiday. I work shifts and…

Club cyclocross champs that were meant to be late 2020 and postponed to 11th April 2021 are missing from the list 😉

Everyone ok with 70km? Should take around 3-4 hrs. As Cross season is nearly upon us, i was thinking of adding a bit of intensity to this one but only on certain hills, well 9 of them. Go up these hills as hard as you can! They vary in steepness…

I do have a 43km alternative which takes on the Ashwell CX route and then up Ashwell St and back via Bassingbourne. See who turns up Sunday morning and can decide then.

I have planned a couple of routes to choose from, both of which are 55km long. One goes out towards Cromer with Great Munden being the furthest point then turn around and back via Walken and Weston. There are some trails i havent been on before to…

This was my second CX season of racing and my first with CCAshwell. I can honestly say that after 10yrs of racing, this has been my favorite season so far! Not just because of how good the courses were and how well each event was run, but mainly d…

Hi Pauls, we will be coming from Ashwell cross country towards the A507 and then crossing the A507 and going down Norton Mill Lane which goes under the A1 and onto the Greenway. You could meet us on the corner of Norton Mill Lane on the A507 at ab…

The route planned is 50km (roughly 60% off road) taking us towards Baldock, around the Greenway, through Hitchin to Pirton and then back again towards the Greenway and back to Ashwell. The pace wont be fast, just steady and fun! I am anticipating…

Nice report Dan! Really enjoyed this course especially considering it was more or less in a field.

That was a seriously tough race!! We are use to racing for 40-50 minutes but over an hour for most of us was a shock to the system lol. Great racing by everyone and a massive well done to Dave for taking the Win!

Brilliant write up Dave and a massive well done to you all! Might have even inspired me to do it next year lol

I personally think that running tubeless for general off road riding is the best and most reliable way forward. Investing in a pair of tubeless ready wheels would be worth there weight in gold too be honest. They would solve all your problems and …

Cant get the Saturday off work but still racing EL on the Sunday after. Why not try a double header Dan and race both days?

Im going to sign up for it this time. Cross bike with 40c tyres for me. I honestly cant remember seeing the full hydraulic groupset up for sale. Can buy individually though which is strange. I might have my Force rear mech and shifters up for sa…

Looks goods! Now waiting for Eastern League so can plan away. Eastern League will obviously take priority for me. I personally prefer the eastern league courses. RAF Halton was a great CL course but that metal strip before and after the gravel …
