I'm up for this - but only if you can guarantee Boris won't be joining us.

Dear Mr Kit I have a large order placed, which fits me fine as a normal CCA jersey. Should I go up to XL for the pro, bearing in mind the blow this will inflict on my self esteem? Yours sincerely Weight Watcher

Re: varying abilities. My view is that we don't need to be too prescriptive about this. There's a lot of daylight at that time of the year, As long as we all get to the correct B&B before night fall we shouldn't worry about who rides with whom. O…

Wicked. Tks.

Could I also order a shirt - size L? Ta.

Robbie I'm in.

I'm comIng to this very late (must check the forum more often) but I'm interested in doing this. By bizarre co-incidence I was going to do the 12 day version for the Altzheimer's Society going at the very end of August, but this sounds like a much be…

Peter Thanks ever so much - was beginning to contemplate missing out on a cheeky ride there. When would be convenient for me to come and pick it up? Adam

What a shame - would have liked to have done it, but it falls on the wrong day for me. Have fun.
-
Cheers. Definitely on the way up - especially when it hits 13% with 2km to go!

Sorry - been up the Pyrenees. Very nice, bloody wet. Did all the biggies, Tourmalet, Aubisque, Port de Bales, Aspin and more. Fell off on the way down the Marie Blanque. Ouch. Might post some photos. Thinking about joining you all for the Geoff Denn…

Did it last year and really enjoyed it. Sadly, can't do it this year. Enjoy.

Lee Here it is.
-
I'd love to give that a try.
-
Thanks, all. Plenty of options there.

That was a jolly good ride. Helped me to get my cycling mojo back. Would definitely class as medium/fast. Thanks for a good route, Martin.

I'm supposed to be helping tonight but have just learned I'm going to be detained at work. Can I swap with someone?
-
Hi Jon Have managed to get a horrible cold, but still planning on doing it (hopefully will improve tonight and tomorrow). Do you still want a lift?
-
Vincent I've got a Pinnacle - it's a 20" wheel and a more racy ride than a Brompton, with more gears and more standard kit (it's Deore througout and Shimano wheels). The fold is not so elegant, though is plenty fine for a train, car boot etc. You a…

9lbs? Sounds like a roulier in the making to me :-) Congrats to all.
-
Definitely. What is the wind like? I've never ridden that distance, but the prospect of high winds give me some anxiety.

the 156. Gulp.

Cool. I have bagged the car, and have a three-bike rack.
-
Some things I have learned tonight: It's possible to feel vaguely sick even an hour after the ride. When Robbie says "this one gets a bit lively" it means I should expect to get spat out the back at some point. Great fun, mind. I clocked an averag…

Likewise.

"I even have to admit that I was overtaken by two riders" Twelve words you will seldom see written by Alex on this forum :-) Well done all. I did it last year, and apart from being really slow (it was my first ever sportive) I hated every minute.

Angus
Very happy to take the kit and hold onto it until whenever John can collect. You could pop it over tonight, or Mrs H will be in tomorrow AM. -
Smashing. Will do.
Have a good trip. -
Hi Tim
I'm on duty for tomorrow for the first time, but see you were on last week and are due to be on this week as well.
Do I need to collect any kit ahead of the event?

Epic ride today, chaps. I made it exactly 80 miles (with 9 added on for to and from Baldock for me) at 18.4mph for eight of us. Gorgeous weather, cracking route (thanks to Martin for that) and no mechanicals. Not much not to like, really.
