I'm with you Stef Also if we can moderate ourselves it helps avoid the heavy handed moderation that some other forums have to use.

I am laid low with a cold and high temperature so won't be able to lead the intro ride tomorrow - could someone else please step up. Sorry Andrew

Start time is 7pm at Three Tuns & a few minutes (5 or so) later at Steeple Morden at the garage on Cheyney Street.
-
Newtons now taken
-
Measurements are c2c as seems to be the standard for bars.
-
Will see you 5.30 then
-
What no - just round the corner for me..
-
Hoping to make it depending on slalom commitments Last years ride was very entertaining - will we get to do more search and rescue and see more riders flinging themselves from their bikes this year.. do you think:-)

Staying in Bethnal Green and yep dinner with mates would beat solo
-
Just signed up for one but earliest I could manage was 5th October - summer still looks bereft of navigators..
-
I can help in the lead up but will be heading to Yorkshire for the first stage
-
Can bring stuff up on Friday evening if you get it to me. Can't help with getting it back on Sunday though. Also could help/demo setting your gears up if you want.

Nathaniel I'd go with Pearce - it will take you less time than getting to cycledelia & back, it's straightforward and once learnt really useful for roadside repairs too.

Holly & Andrew in please
-
Got it - once again, if I'm not there, don't wait
-
David - I'll probably join you - where's best to meet? If I'm late don't wait as I'm out tonight...

Forecast looks ok - shame it wont be sunny side up but I'm egg-cited to be pedalling in the dry. Not sure I'll want to go with the faster group as I've scrambled up hills for the last couple of weeks, feeling a bit poached.
-
Will do 7.15 this week but then I suggest going back to 7 - my reasoning is that 10 minutes later at 7.25 you'll catch lap 2. If all start at 7 then it will give all the best chance of getting a group that suits their pace at 7 or 7.25 or 7.50 - as …

Are youngsters welcome if familiar with fixed?
-
I think if you find them easy to get into but they feel secure then you're not missing out on anything. I just changed to Look Keo and have a pair of the 2 Max's and a pair of the Blades with the lower tension (12Nm) blades, both easy to get into th…

What a fantastic way to spend a day! TBH I have been worrying a bit about this ride as I really hadn't put the right amount of preparation in but so glad I entered and went for the Gran Fondo. I'm sitting sipping (well quaffing) a well deserved beer…
