Yes I'll join you Susan - should be good fun.
-
It was nothing to do with the wheels - it was just that all of you boys were too slow... You must try harder next time :-)
-
Thanks everyone for all of your helpful comments - very useful and just what I needed. Will make a start on my booking this weekend :-)

Thanks for the great route Susan and thanks to everyone else for their great company. Seven of us in total with a very nice cake stop at Jordans. I think it was 64 miles at 15 with no incidents and excellent weather. Here's to next years event!

Sounds good. I'm away with work until late sat night and so won't be deciding until sun morning if I can do it - based on whether I wake up in time! Maybe see you sun - will you be posting the route in advance?

Hi Mark, Could you put me down for a womens Roubaix jacket in medium please. Thanks Emma

'Led to nothing' - how rude! Everyone was plotting against me....I had a dodgy knee .....and had spent too long gardening the night before ... oh and not to mention the "rubbish" bike. Any more excuses.............

After my stint of 35miles on the front last week I think I've done my share for the year! Although I might start the sprint early........

About 14 of us out to do the classic 'two bridges' route. Good route but probably nothing classic about it - I'm not even sure we went over the bridges. Hope that everyone enjoyed the shelter from the wind as myself and Susan were on the front for ab…

Sounds good to me Adam - I'm sure we can muddle our way around.
-
Sorry to hear that Vicky - hope you have a speedy recovery and don't get too bored on the turbo.

Thanks to everyone (timekeepers, Marshall's, pusher offer, refreshments) who helped out today and made the event possible. Some good times out there. I was kind of enjoying it until the massive wind storm and then the heavens opened making it very t…

Hope it's not too serious Vicky? Look forward to seeing you out again soon.

Chocolate Guinness cake made - now just hoping the rain stops
-
I'll bake a cake and you can put David down to help you timekeep.
-
Really enjoyed that! Great route today and good company. Think we did a good job of navigating as none of us really knew where we were going. The only downside was the poor weather which went steadily downhill from 30 miles - slight drizzle to heavy …

I would much rather wear club kit than this lime green nonsense! You should see the trousers I look like a clown - just grateful that ASDA don't make cycling kit.
-
We could always give ourselves some extra fuel in the form of cake and also stop at westmill tea rooms mile 77 :-)
-
Count me and David in for this - looking forward to it
-
Gutted I won't be around for this one
-
Hi Tom, Enjoying your blog - The panniers certainly look heavy and the cakes amazing! Hope the weather is holding up.....keep going Emma and David
-
Thanks James, Pete and Finn for timekeeping/organising. Great turnout tonight but seemed to be harder than it looked
-
Woohoo - a new PB for me by 1 min and 1 sec :-) Almost worth getting up earlier than I would normally to go to work! Excellent weather and a good CCA turnout - well done to all
-
Does anyone know how far it is from sign on to start?
-
Well in Davids absence I was a solo carriage on the blue train for the medio fondo. So instead I treated it like a 76 mile time trial where I also achieved a PB! 5hrs 21mins actual ride time with an elapsed time of 5hrs 48mins due to the mega long q…
