-
sounds like one for MC ... but then again, how 'mountain' is this tt?
-
Brilliant! Good to hear of Dan's success and that the good folk of Redbourn have hosted another great day out for cyclists With the amount of passion and brain-power I've seen in our club, I've no doubt there will be an Ashwell fete du velo one day …
-
Yee haa ... you star!
-
I'm starting with Etape Cymru. Might have to hold onto that jacuzzi thought to get me through the winter months
-
Good luck Bryn with your chosen career - am I right in thinking that you've just had the results you needed for Oxford? If so, very well done you! And don't ever stop reminding yourself that life is for living. Whether it's at work or on your bike, …

Thanks to Tim for navigating and to Stevie and Mark for a v nice caf
-
Cheers Phil. Enjoyed that. Now I feel like I really know Pipers Hill Great to hear that Redbourn has at last got permission for closed road racing in its Fete du Velo (happening tomorrow, so it's v short notice!). Simon (from The Hub caf

Can we agree to do it anti-clockwise, as per Martin's link above?
-
Clockwise. If it's actually possible to tell Garmin to navigate a route in reverse, I have yet to work out the mythical sequence of buttons

Gd tea shop in Thaxted at 45 miles ... and at 72miles, there's a shop in Gt Shelford Could be back by 2pm, but that might be a bit ambitious?

I reckon that's just ventilation for his wife, kids and dogs who are inside

Stuff of nightmares on a descent !
-
urm... are you sure you want to risk that?! Happy to have a go. Happier still if we had another Garmin with us
-
Can we do Hatfield pleeeeeeeeeeeeeez?
-
Awesome Phil!

Haddocks swimsuit ... like that! It was a really good event last year and as long as we don't get more biblical weather (I blame Tom for that), I'm definitely up for the 2015 event. Bring it on
-
Sprint finish, of course. Rude not to Thank you, James
-
Sorry I missed you Bit late this morning, but I did make it to the Tuns for 9:30 I definitely enjoyed the conditions today - bit freaky, but there was hardly any traffic and I wasn't cold at all. This winter-bikes-in-August thing could catch on
-
Everyone needs a parent like you, Daniel Theo - you must be v proud
-
Only 1 out this morning. Very wet but not remotely cold and hardly any cars on the road, which made it rather enjoyable in a cathartic, end-of-a-horrible-week kind of way 1 branch down across the road nr Gamlingay Cinques, but easily visible and ski…

Congrats Martin! (I liked the poem BTW and the pic of the Start)
-
Met Office should be lined up and shot, every last one of them!!!! Ooops, now I sound like Jeremy Clarkson
-
Hope to be there too, Tim... just waiting to see what Hurricane Boris (I mean, Bertha) brings us Winter bikes in August. Whatever next!
-
Respect! (I've withdrawn) V glad to hear that somebody will be there and flying the CCA colours. Good luck - going to be an epic ride, that's for sure
-
If you don't fancy riding this in Hurricane Bertha, you can withdraw online and they'll guarantee you a place in next year's event
-
Vgd idea to split into >1 group. I'm in Might be poss to have 2 start times, with the aim of both groups meeting somewhere along the way and riding some of it together ... perhaps splitting again at t'other end? Some loiter over beer and some go…
-
Will's 'Start Area' description of an old village hall + smell of embrocation and poo suddenly sounds quite attractive!
-
At the risk of being labelled a pessimist .... am I the only one who's considering pulling out? Forecast is for heavy rain from 2am to 10am and then steady rain with wind speed rising to 34mph by 1pm. 1hr standing around at the Start with no shelter…
