Spoke to SteveJ at last night's chaingang. Looks like a low level of interest in the there and back option this year? If nothing changes then I'll go with the flow and get the train back from KL. JP

A real call to arms with everyone up for it tonight. Very smooth chaining with enough recovery in the wheels. 1st lap - Martin orchestrated the record and asked for more in the run in from Shingay. 2nd lap - slightly slower despite Chris's monster ef…

I plan to be there too. Might be a bit spicy for me but will contribute what I can and hang on for dear life! Will probably ride straight to Steeple for 7.05
-
Thanks for the pictures Stuart. CCA out in force and all starting at the front of the grid. Almost everyone in club kit or wearing blue which really made us stand out. Having ridden the original version of the course a couple of weeks ago I resisted …

Hi Andrew - I messaged you. Thanks
-
Saving my legs for Tour of the Cornfields.
-
I have also entered. Information on BC website indicates 9.00 to 9.30am start from Wimpole Hall. I'm keen to ride as a CCA group or at least start together. Propose we congregate just before 9am to get away with the early starters.

Was cycling back from my parents in Gloucestershire. Must admit to similar amazement at seeing you in Marsh Gibbon in rural Oxfordshire. Good to catch Will in Woburn. Hopefully I wasn't looking too dishevelled as you passed me!
-
Hi Mark - I messaged you.
-
Unfortunately can't make it this week.

Captain seasick and confined to bed. Usual eclectic mix of CCA members - about 10 out. FD navigated a pleasant pootle around a version of Two Bridges. 40 miles at Pirate pace. Most enjoyable - will be back. JP

Official stats 3 out: DomB, RichardS and myself Felt very autumnal at the Tuns at 8am. 45mile loop south to Whempstead (thanks Dom) at about 17s Windy but not as bad as originally forecast. Extra loops added to avoid getting back early for household…

Agree eye on weather. Forecast looking like heavy rain overnight on Friday and heavy showers Saturday.
-
Keen to be involved. Many thanks. JP
-
Geoff - think it will just be me and Robbie. If it works out I still plan to get up for a ride on Friday. Decide on Monday.
-
Thanks all - top ride. Everyone enjoying the fitness that late summer brings. Welcome to new member Paul H - hope to see you again.
-
Should be there. Propose the Cambs, Beds, Herts (Emilys at 47miles ) loop anticlockwise = 76 miles.
-
Hi Geoff - been talking to a few of the guys. They're trying to juggle work and family commitments to free up time for next weekend. Should know more tomorrow. Just wanted to let you know.
-
One of the best rides I've done in 2016 - really enjoyable. Thanks to the Pirates for organising. Hope to join you again soon. ps. pleased to say it was business as usual as the Captain won the sprint back into Ashwell
-
Just bringing this back to the top. 19-21st Aug weekend rapidly approaching. Who's planning to go? Geoff - assuming this weekend is still ok with you at the farm?
-
Thanks to Adam for the post ride beer. A bottle of Corona never tasted so good. See you next week. JP
-
Starts in Steeple Morden then an anti-clockwise loop through Littlington, left in Bassingbourne along Fen Road to Shingay. Left at T in Shingay heading towards Guilden and first left to return to Steeple. You can find a schematic on the CC Ashwell …

Bringing this back to the top. All being well should be out for this. Anybody else?
-
All being well should be able to join you for this. Weather looks absolutely fabulous for Friday. I prefer Roald Dahl's version
-
Thanks both - really useful info
-
We missed you Phil. Ping me an email if you fancy getting out during next week.

Official stats 4 out wearing CCA blue: Gareth, Janet, Dom and myself 89 miles around the lanes towards South Herts 17mph average About 4000ft climbing (err Strava feet) Nice coffee in Hertford Saw several London clubs out in very big groups. Great…

We can decide on route in the morning depending on who turns up and preferences. Happy to go with the flow.......
-
I can lead a route southwards and some new roads around an area known locally as "Little Switzerland". Basically the lanes south east of Hertford and taking in Essendon, Cuffley, Newgate Street and Brickendon. 80-90hilly miles.

Will be there all being well.
